The supreme court on friday ruled against Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde Sunday, a representative of Akure South/North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Honourable Abegunde who defected from the Labour Party to ACN (now APC) has been ordered to to vacate his seat as his reason for defecting is not justifiable.
Abegunde defected on grounds of division in the Labour party but the seven-man panel led by the chief Justice of Nigeria ruled that his defection is not justifiable since the said division does not exist at the party's national structure.
